What People Are Saying

Your book is fabulous! I love your down-to-earth, encouraging, compassionate voice -- it feels as if you are a warm friend/teacher helping readers through their issues and their transformation! The level of anatomical detail is just right... each chapter is very digestible. -- T. Weinstein, Canaan, NY

I have actually come to terms to believe that the pain can be alleviated. All thanks to Raven. The suggested movements and poses for my lower back pain have given me some tremendous results. Every time, I encounter immense pain in the lower back, I practice the bridge pose which seems to have an immediate effect on my back.

I started working with Raven's program because I was 42 years old and felt like I was 70. I was having difficulty standing up straight after sitting for an extended period of time, my hips and lower back were extremely tight and my body felt sluggish. I wanted to take some action and correct this problem before it got any worse. I was too young to be so stiff!

After doing the program she created for me, I felt energized, flexible and had no problems going form sitting to standing. I found a new awareness in my body and now I am able to adjust what I need. I can incorporate the poses she taught me into my day when I need them. My hips and lower back feel great! I noticed that before, when my hips and back were tight, I felt drained and sluggish. Now that they are open and the energy is flowing freely, I have much more energy and am much more active. I am even back in the gym and working out 5 times a week!

Get Your Low Back on Track: 30 Days to a Healthier Spine

By Raven Sadhaka Seltzer, MA, RYT-500

-- Now available in PDF eBook downloadable format, Amazon Kindle and Print-on-Demand!!

Check out this new comprehensive, self-directed program which guides the reader through easy healing techniques for their lower back issues. Readers are encouraged to educate themselves about their anatomy and their condition, and to take a more active role in their own healing process. You will be guided through very simple yoga-based movements and breath work, and encouraged to examine and adjust your lifestyle and ergonomics in ways that will enhance and support your ongoing healing.

The book consists of 30 short chapters, one for each day of the program. Each chapter deals with a different aspect of healing the lower back and emphasizes its place in the “bigger picture” of the body, mind and spirit connection. The chapters include one pose or movement for each day, as well as a healing affirmation for meditation purposes. There are black and white photos to illustrate the different poses and movements, as well as black and white and color plates from Gray’s Anatomy.

The program is taken directly Ms. Seltzer’s personal experience with herniated discs and spondylolithesis, her recovery from these conditions, and ultimately, her work with clients in private practice.

Get Your Low Back on Track does not offer any medical advice nor is it a substitute for medical treatment or consultation – it merely offers an alternative path to healing. It can be used on its own or in conjunction with other therapies. If you have serious physical or psychological conditions, you should always consult your primary care physician before undertaking this program or any other.
